Steps Toward Becoming a Surrogate Mother
1. If you feel you might be a candidate for becoming a Surrogate Mother, the first step is to read the information below to determine if you are a suitable candidate.
2. Conceptual Options does not accept any Surrogate Mothers that have a poor reproductive medical history. More specifically, we strictly scrutinize any and all medical records that must be provided to us from their doctors. Upon completion of an interview process and acceptance into our program, Surrogate Mothers are presented to Intended Parents via our database. Upon selection, all Surrogate Mothers must undergo a complete medical and physical examination, psychological screening, and laboratory screening for sexually transmitted diseases. Please note that we scrutinize our Intended Parent applicants equally, to include medical and psychological screening clearance.
3. Please submit an Inquiry form, located on our Program Application Page. Once we have been contacted by you, we will be provide you with information about our program, an application and our Surrogate Benefit Package, as well as how we might be of assistance for your personal needs and make arrangements for an initial consultation.
4. Only those Surrogate Mothers accepted into our program will then be contacted for a comprehensive selection interview, where we will thoroughly review your personal situation and advise you on the appropriateness of surrogacy. Once this screening has been completed, your information will be added to our database for Intended Parents to review.
5. Once chosen by Intended Parents, the Surrogate Mother will begin the protocol set by the fertility physician selected by the Intended Parents. Usually this is the physician or clinic that they have been working with for numerous years.
